This is the first ever film appearance of Casper the Ghost! The Friendly Ghost is a benevolent cartoon from the nineteen forties staring the nicest ghost that ever lived: Casper. Casper is lonely and wants to make friends, but kids are afraid of ghosts and he’s rejected by many children. But eventually Casper can find happiness with understanding youngsters. This story would become the prototypical Casper tale; it’s a fun, family story that has proved timeless.
