『ギルティギアX』は、アークシステムワークスが開発し、サミースタジオが発売した格闘ゲームです。ギルティギアシリーズの第2作目である『ギルティギアX』は、前作の成功を受けて約2年間の開発期間を経て制作されました。日本のアーケードでは2000年7月にリリースされ、その後2000年12月にドリームキャストで再発売され、2001年11月にはプレイステーション2、2002年1月にはゲームボーイアドバンスに移植されました。
一部の人はゲームが簡単すぎると言ってたね。正直言うと…ここでプレイする難易度によって、AIの反応が全然違うんだ。簡単モードだと相手のAIはほとんど動かないし、ベリーハードだと戦闘開始と同時にAIが先に動いたりするんだ。だから、本当に『ギルティギア』を『モータルコンバット』みたいにやりたいなら、一番難しい難易度を選ぶべきだね。（なんかGame InformerとかMetacriticはあんまり信用できないし、最近のジャーナリストはゲームをあまりプレイしてない人も多いからIGNもあまり信用できないな）
初走目...メイ、彼女の攻撃範囲は短いが重く、誰に比べてボタンスパムにあまり依存していませんか?ジャムまたはチップ(これら2つは、ボタンの組み合わせに依存して特殊攻撃とテンション攻撃を実行します)。前回このゲームをプレイしてからしばらく経ちました(すでに10年が経ちますが、元ヴェノム、ザト-1、ディジーのプレイヤーとしてデフォルト設定でゲームをプレイする方法を少し覚えています)
