日田彦山線BRTは2017年の豪雨で被害にあったＪＲ日田彦山線の代替として2023年8月に開業した路線です。 事業主体は日田彦山線を運行していたＪＲ九州となり、愛称は「BRTひこぼしライン」となっています。 同線では専用車両が導入され、外装は“おりひめの羽衣”をイメージしており、色とりどりにきらめく地域の魅力を各車両のカラーで表現しています。 同線ではいすゞ エルガミオが導入されており、そのうち1台は日田市の花「あやめ」をイメージしたあやめカラーに、もう1台は英彦山の「やまなみ」をイメージしたやまなみカラーになっています。 本製品ではこのあやめカラーとやまなみカラーになったいすゞエルガミオをモデルとしています。
